I never thought I was ugly or anything; just not beautiful. Most ladies I know say that at some time or another; some even go further and believe they truly are ugly. I saw this video recently, and it really made me think about how I view myself.
After all, He doesn't just love us, He made us. No matter what anyone tells you, whether you can see it or not, you are beautiful!
If every girl, every woman, could learn to see her beauty and worth, she would be stronger and less vulnerable to becoming a victim of human trafficking. So, I want to tell you right now...yeah, you!...are you ready? I'd say "read my lips" to emphasize the next statement, but you can't. So, here we go:
You are full of worth!
You have so much to give!
YOU ARE LOVED!
If you need someone for the long-haul, a battle buddy for the every-day battles of life, click here; you'll be directed to Women Stand Up! International. Their "purpose driven mission is to see the hearts and minds of hurting women restored and re-purposed." I have meet and talked with their founder, Christine. She truly has a desire to help women realize their own beauty and strength, and that they are enough just as they are.
And you are enough, just as you are. You don't have to do anything to try to please people. To quote from the children's show, Veggie Tales, as cheesy as it sounds sometimes, "Remember: God made you special, and He loves you very much!" He really does!
I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in Your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
